Applying for Scholarships
Each year, the TCC Foundation supports hundreds of students by providing scholarships to incoming as well as current students. Over $500,000 is awarded annually to over 300 recipients with awards ranging from $500 up to $4,000.
The Foundation offers a wide variety of scholarships in many program areas such as Healthcare, Dental, Theater, Disability, Theater, Science & Math, International Student, First Generation, Workforce Development, Military, Technology and Art. We offer scholarships that are need as well as merit based but many are awarded according to specific recipient criteria established by our donors.
The online scholarship application opens 3 times a year.
A new application must be submitted for each awarding cycle.
Application dates are as follows:
First Cycle - Fall Scholarship Application for High School Students Only
December 1, 2016 - Application Opens
February 17, 2017 - Application Closes
April 1, 2017 - Recipient award notification begins
Second Cycle - Fall Scholarship Application for New, Continuing, Returning and Transfer Students
March 1, 2017 - Application Opens
May 5, 2017 - Application Closes
June 7, 2017 - Recipient award notification begins
Third Cycle - Spring/Summer Scholarship Application for All Students
August 1, 2017 - Application Opens
September 8, 2017 - Application Closes
October 11, 2017 - Recipient award notification begins
The TCC Foundation and Tallahassee Community College offer numerous scholarship awards annually for both the fall and spring semesters. By submitting the online application, you will successfully apply for every scholarship currently being awarded. Applicants no longer must submit an individual application for each scholarship listed. Your criteia will be matched to the scholarships you are eligible for which are being offered. New Start Scholarship in Memory of David and Nancy Lawrence
The New Start Scholarship in Memory of David and Nancy Lawrence was established to assist young individuals who have had involvement with the Juvenile Justice sysyem and who want to create a New Start by attending Tallahassee Community College. If you feel that you are eligible for this scholarship you can download the criteria eligibiltiy and application form here.
This scholarship is not offered as part of the online application process and is the only TCC Foundation scholarship which requires a separate application.
