The Nurse Assistant, Long Term Care PSAV Certificate program develops essential skills and knowledge necessary to prepare students for the state nursing assistant competency examination, to serve as entry-level healthcare workers (specifically as nurse assistants) and to safely and effectively serve as part of the healthcare team.

Program Overview & Requirements

Program Purpose:
To prepare students for the state nursing assistant competency examination, to serve as entry-level healthcare workers (specifically as nurse assistants) and to safely and effectively serve as part of the healthcare team.

Program Length:
120 clock hours

Admission Requirements:
Have obtained a standard high school diploma or GED diploma, successfully pass Level 1 criminal background check, successfully pass a drug screen, submit a completed health form and be CPR certified at healthcare provider level. See www.tcc.fl.edu/cna for details.

Program Application:
This is a limited-access program. Applicants must submit a TCC admissions application (www.gototcc.com) and a Nurse Assistant program application by the published application deadline.
