Commencement Ceremony


Graduating college is a remarkable achievement and one worth celebrating with family and friends. Join Tallahassee Community College (TCC) for the 2017 Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. in the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, located at 505 West Pensacola Street in Tallahassee (map it). Tickets are not required of graduates or their guests to attend the ceremony.


Students eligible to participate in the ceremony:

  • Summer 2016 graduates
  • Fall 2016 graduates
  • Anticipated spring 2017 graduates

Participation in this ceremony does not constitute the completion of graduation requirements. All students must complete an application for graduation through TCC Passport

Order your full academic regalia (i.e. cap, gown, and tassel) at the TCC Bookstore.



The Commencement Ceremony is a distinguished tradition at TCC. All students are required to attend a mandatory graduation orientation. In orientation you will be guided through the ceremony protocol and etiquette, receive information on appropriate attire for the ceremony, and have the opportunity to ask any questions.

Detailed information about the mandatory graduation orientation dates and times will be sent to graduating students in February. Please remember to check your TCC email.

Upcoming orientation sessions:

  • Tuesday, May 2 at 6 p.m. in SU209
  • Wednesday, May 3 at 10 a.m. in SU209


All graduating students receive one official diploma at no additional cost. Students participating in the graduation ceremony receive a padded diploma cover with a message from the College. Diplomas will be mailed to students approximately eight to ten weeks after the degree is awarded and reflected on the student's transcript.  

If you graduate in: Your diploma will be mailed on or before:
Fall Term (December) March 1
Spring Term (May) July 1
Summer Term (August) October 1
